Redesigned look of the 2014 4Runner Sr5

We got our first batch of Sr5 Toyota 4Runners in last night and we thought you might like to see some pictures of it's updated look. The fog lights have changed, the front bumper, and even the taillights are sporting a new look. Take a look at the photos below and tell us what you think of the redesigned 4Runner.

A truck like frame for demanding conditions.

The 2014 4Runner is a little different than your average SUV. One of the things that make it different is the "Body-on-frame" design, which means much like a truck the body is set on top of a separate frame, unlike some of its competitors which use a car-like unibody construction. The 2014 4Runner is more rugged, thanks to its "Body-on-frame" design. While it may be a bit heavier and less agile on pavement, it's far better suited for heavy duty challenges like off-road use, towing, and hauling than unibody SUV's. It's a beautiful Saturday morning, and the perfect time hook the boat up to the back of your Tundra and head for the dock! Or maybe your more of an off road, tear up the mud, and get as dirty as possible kind of person! Whatever your into (that involves a truck) there isn't much the 2014 Tundra can't help you do. The 2014 Toyota Tundra Helps Drivers 'Build Anything'

If you've seen any of Toyota's new commercials about the 2014 Tundra then you might know the theme of them is to build anything, but as Toyota puts it, build what matters most—not just “things,” but more importantly, family, community, character and legacy—with the redesigned third-generation Toyota Tundra. So what would projects would you take on in the redesigned Tundra? What does a 10,000 pound towing capacity mean?

Lets a have a bit of fun with the new Toyota Tundra and put its towing capacity in to perspective.

The 2014 Tundra is capable of towing 10,000lbs which is approximately:

• 45,350 Blueberry muffins
• 12,600 Scuba masks
• 1,679,675 Ping pong balls

Supercharge the Tundra? Why not?

   
     As many of you may know Toyota has a Racing division named TRD or Toyota Racing Development. They build all sorts of great accessories for Scions, Tacomas, Tundras and other Toyota branded vehicles. Here at the dealership we have had some people ask about the TRD superchargers for various vehicles, the Tundra however has gotten more request than any of the other vehicles. We are thinking about building a TRD Tundra that has a super charger to showcase to our customers what the Tundra can do with a little boost. Tell us what you think a TRD Tundra should look like or comment below with any questions, and stay tuned in for more information on TRD products and the various Toyota vehicles they fit.

The Joe Gibbs Racing Team!

Next up in the Toyota Dream Build Challenge is the Joe Gibbs Racing Motocross team. The motocross team along with riders Justin Brayton and Josh Grant have paired with N-FAB Inc to build the "Let's Go Moto Tundra." The Joe Gibbs racing team has big plans to make their Tundra the ultimate dream build and the best track side motocross truck you've ever seen. Here are the bullet points for their plan:

• The ultimate trackside test vehicle for the JGRMX team
• Eight-foot pit box-style construction for the bed

Is Corn Hole your favorite tailgate game?

       We will be holding our Tundra Tailgate event tomorrow between 6-8pm (September 21st 2013) and in the spirit of tailgating we will have some Corn Hole boards set up for people to play with. If you've never played you should try it! It's a wonderfully simple game that's the staple of any great tailgate. Here's some great information on the origin of Corn Hole and some of the rules associated with the game. Be sure to stop by tomorrow afternoon for your chance at some prizes and to see what tailgating in the 2014 Toyota Tundra is all about. So roll up your selves, loosen up your tossing arm, and get ready to play some Corn Hole! Wake up and smell the Millionth truck produced at Texas Toyota!

The manufacturing team at Toyota Texas, San Antonio, celebrated the millionth truck ever produced earlier this morning. The truck was a 1794 Edition, 2014 Tundra in a beautiful Sunset Bronze Mica. The 2014 Tundra 1794 Edition was produced as a tribute to the ranch, founded in 1794, on which the truck plant is located. As of today we are on track to have a 1794 Edition Tundra here at Hendrick Toyota Scion of North Charleston for the Tundra Tailgate event this Saturday on the 21st of September from 6-8pm. Be sure to stop by for the event to check out the 2014 Tundra in person.

Count down to kick off for the 2014 Tundra Tailgate, only 3 more days!

With our Tundra Tailgate event only 3 days away we think its appropriate to share with you some cool articles from blogs unaffiliated with Toyota.  Here's a great one from a blog called "Torque News." They talk about the revamped styling of the 2014 Tundra and how its less "bubbly" then its predecessor. We agree and think the body lines look a lot more aggressive and the Tundra has an over all sharper appearance. We encourage you to come out on Saturday between 6 and 8pm to see the 2014 Tundra changes in person! We would love to read your feedback on what you think of the 2014 Toyota Tundra and any questions you may have.
