Toyota and BMW working together on a co-developed sports car!

A couple of weeks ago we blogged about the Frankfurt Auto Show debut of the Yaris Hybrid-R hot hatch concept car that had a whopping 420hp burst of energy! Sadly however, that Yaris Hybrid-R is only a concept as of right now it seems like more of a trophy than a future production model. There is some good news for those who have been patient enough to wait for the next Toyota sports car. BMW and Toyota have teamed up to develop a joint sports car project. Details on the car are scarce, and we haven't exactly seen any concepts out on the Nürburg Ring yet, but there is quite a bit of buzz around this well branded collaboration that has some pretty high expectations from consumers that have come to love models like the BMW M3 and the Toyota Supra. We really hope this solidifies into something great and that even if the has a hybrid drive-train, it will be far more track oriented than its gas sipping cousins of the Prius family.  Let us know what you think the next Toyota sports car should feature by commenting below, posting on Facebook, or Tweeting us @ToyotaNCHS.
