I'ts been some time since we've seen anything come from Toyota that has a turbo charger bolted on from the factory and we've been waiting for quite a while. Well folks, the wait may be over. It's not the Toyota Supra, but at a max Hp output of 420 ponies it's also no Yaris...Or is it?
Its the all new Toyota Yaris Hybrid-R, and its on its way to the Frankfurt Motor Show. With a whopping 300hp, inline 4, Garett turbocharged engine, its not your daughters Yaris. The vehicle comes equip with what Toyota is calling "through-the-road all-wheel drive," and two 60hp electric motors, one on each wheel, and a third 60hp electric motor that plays the role of traction control and brake system re-generator.
We can't wait to see this beast in person and really hope we get to see one in our showroom.
