A truck like frame for demanding conditions.

The 2014 4Runner is a little different than your average SUV. One of the things that make it different is the "Body-on-frame" design, which means much like a truck the body is set on top of a separate frame, unlike some of its competitors which use a car-like unibody construction. The 2014 4Runner is more rugged, thanks to its "Body-on-frame" design. While it may be a bit heavier and less agile on pavement, it's far better suited for heavy duty challenges like off-road use, towing, and hauling than unibody SUV's.
