The Father of the Toyota Prius

The Washington Post had an interesting article earlier today about Toyota Motor Corp. Chairman Takeshi Uchiyamada, the pioneer of the Toyota Prius who rode his roller coaster of success to the top. The Chairman foresees a long future for fully electric future. 

Uchiyamada, a physicist who worked with the team that developed the Prius in the 1990s, said the group underestimated what it could achieve. It looked to boost fuel economy by 50 percent. Instead, the team more than doubled it.
